Klaviyo Technician Questions
Okay, you’ve decided to hire me…now what?
We will start your onboarding. We’ll introduce you to our team of account managers and familiarize you with the way that we work through our task management software.
Then we’ll introduce you to Klaviyo and share some baseline knowledge and best practices for the software. As you’re learning the ropes, we’ll pair you with other Klaviyo technicians (and masters!) at DIDO to help get your feet wet. When you’re ready, we’ll assign you to your very first project.
What would a typical day look like?
You would typically start your workday by checking Asana and other communication channels (like Slack, etc.). Then you’d plan your schedule for the day, sorting tasks by importance/urgency and updating task deadlines for newly assigned projects if needed. Then, you’d work on setting up Klaviyo Flows (automated email sequences), email campaigns, and integrations with our clients.
Are there weekly company/team meetings?
Yes, there’s about one meeting per week. Teams typically work separately on different solutions, but come together to share findings, knowledge, and tips.
We have a company-wide meeting once a month to share general DIDO updates, achievements, and goals. That meeting usually lasts around an hour.
Will I have a set work schedule?
No, but you should have at least 5 hours a week when we will know you’ll be available.
Having fixed daily working hours helps the team squash small setbacks in real time and helps prevent delays for other team members.
We highly value your time, and we expect you to be considerate of your teammates’ schedules as well.
Copywriter Questions
Okay, you’ve decided to hire me…now what?
We will start your onboarding. We’ll introduce you to our team of account managers, help familiarize you with the way that we send a draft copy through our task management software, and get you set up on your first project. Before you begin writing any copy, you’ll have a quick call with your first client to make sure you understand the tone they’re looking for in the copy.
What would a typical day look like?
You would typically start your workday by checking your Asana and other communication channels (like Slack, etc.) and planning out your schedule, sorting your assigned tasks by importance/urgency.
Then, you’ll create copy for various campaigns and email flows across multiple clients. Some days are lighter than others, but there will almost always be a few tasks for you to knock out. If we’re beginning a new project, you may be on a client call to discuss the new company’s voice and tone before diving into the copy.
Are there weekly company/team meetings?
Our copywriter team doesn’t have a regular call with the clients. All communication goes through Account managers. You’ll be only expected to be available for client calls when we begin a new project.
However, we have a company-wide all hands meeting once a month where we share company updates, achievements, and goals. It usually lasts about an hour.
Designer Questions
Okay, you’ve decided to hire me…now what?
We will start your onboarding. We’ll introduce you to our team of account managers, help familiarize you with the way that we work through our task management software. Then, we will share our knowledge and best practices how to work with Klaviyo, and get you set up on your first project.
What would a typical day look like?
You’ll start most days by checking Asana and other communication channels (like Slack, etc.) and planning your schedule, sorting various tasks by urgency. Then, you will design hero images (banners) for flows in Klaviyo, create email templates, email campaigns, and other graphic materials for email to translate the clients’ visions into compelling email design.
Are there weekly company/team meetings?
No. The designer’s team doesn’t have a regular call with the clients. All communication goes through Account managers. And you’ll communicate with the Account manager to clarify any questions, issues, etc.
However, we do have a company-wide meeting once a month, where we share company updates, achievements, goals, etc. It usually lasts about an hour.
We have a team of designers and a design team slack channel available for support, to answer questions, or get help as well.
Account Manager Questions
What happens after I’ve been hired?
We will start your onboarding and training as an Account Manager. This process will take anywhere from one to three weeks based off of your own schedule (depending on how many hours YOU choose to work). You will work with your Senior Account Manager to learn our processes, learn email marketing, and complete the initial training. At this point, if you feel confident with moving forward with DIDO, then we would transition you to working with other Seasoned Account Managers. You’ll also start attending our internal team meetings, and prepare to take on your own projects.
What would a typical day look like?
Every day, you’ll be managing your own schedule. You’ll need to be on time and punctual with team meetings, and client meetings. Outside of those “set in stone” times, you have ample flexibility to get your tasks done. This includes but is not limited to checking communication channels at the start and end of your workday, moving tasks along with your team to hit deadlines, and strategizing, implementing, and executing ideas on a regular basis. We use Asana, Zoom, Loom, Slack, Klaviyo, and Miro throughout each day.
What are the scheduled meeting times throughout the week?
There are Account Manager meetings every Monday, and Wednesday at 11:30am ET (roughly 30-45 minutes). On Fridays, we have a Continued Education call at 11:00am ET (roughly 60-90 minutes).
We have a company-wide meeting once a month to share general DIDO updates, achievements, and goals. That meeting usually lasts around 60 minutes.
In addition to our internal meetings, you will have mandatory scheduled weekly meetings with your clients (arranged between you and the clients).
How many hours should I expect to work each week?
How many hours you work is completely up to you. If you want to work 10 hours a week, that is what you will work. If you want to work 40, we have more than enough work for you as well. You simply need to communicate with your Senior Account Manager what you would like your workload to be.
Career Development
Is there opportunity to advance within the company?
Absolutely. If you express interest in advancing, as well as show potential for growth, then we would love to discuss the opportunity to help you move forward in your career.
Do you have an external or internal development program?
The people at DIDO never settle for good enough, and we love watching our teammates develop and improve. To help you achieve your goals, we’ll reimburse money spent on professional development every year.
Can I choose the professional development courses and programs?
Yes, you can. We’ll reimburse you towards professional development — whether that’s books, seminars, or courses — every year. Anyone who has worked with us for at least 3 full months is eligible for the development program.
Compensation
Upwork is a safe work environment for all of us. It allows us to easily create and manage work contracts in accordance with U.S. laws. On your side, you are protected by Upwork and can rest assured knowing that you will always be paid on time.
If you develop and grow at DIDO Agency, your income will increase, too. If you are no longer satisfied with your compensation and you have significant reasons why you should be paid more, we’re always open to talking through your thought process.
Do you have paid internship opportunities?
Yes, we do.
Work schedule
What will my work schedule look like?
Schedules at DIDO Agency are flexible. You pick when you’d like to work your hours, decide when you’d like to take breaks, and choose your own days off. While there are some milestones in every project that you cannot miss (ie: deadlines, client calls, full team meetings, etc), you’ll be in control of every other aspect of your schedule. We’re committed to working together to build a schedule that works for everyone involved.
Can I work part-time with DIDO Agency?
Yes, you can work anywhere from 5 to 40 hours a week. We will scale the number of projects you’re responsible for according to your availability.
Does DIDO Agency work on the weekends?
We don’t require work on the weekends, but given that every team member creates his or her own schedule, some people choose to work on weekends. Protect your weekends or use them to knock out a few extra tasks — it’s up to you.
Benefits
When you start working with us, you begin to accrue vacation hours. For every 20 hours you work with DIDO Agency, you earn 1 hour of paid vacation. That system allows our team members to take approximately 2 weeks of paid vacation per year (paid at your current rate). Paid vacation is only available once you’ve worked with us for at least 3 months.
What is the sick leave policy?
Our sick day policy mirrors our vacation policy. For every 50 hours you work with DIDO Agency, you’ll earn 1 paid hour of sick leave. Most team members will earn about 5 days of paid sick leave each year, to be paid at their current rate. Again, you cannot take paid sick leave until 3 months into your time with DIDO Agency.
Does DIDO Agency offer any other benefits?
We would like our members to be happy working with us. We are constantly working to provide competitive benefit packages. didoagency.com/career/

What kind of clients does DIDO Agency service?
DIDO is a full service email marketing agency for eCommerce brands. Our clients consist of stores that sell various tangible products online. Everything from facial creams, household products, specialty foods, and vehicle supplies. No two clients are the same.
What kind of reporting do you provide?
Our reporting dashboard provides all the important metrics you would need to see from your email marketing campaigns.
We provide percentage breakdowns and actual numbers of your open rates, click-through rates, and bounce rates.
We also provide conversion numbers on orders placed and total revenue generated from each campaign.
Are your email templates responsive for mobile?
Yes! All the emails we create are 100% responsive on mobile and are tested on over 40 different email clients and devices to ensure they look beautiful no matter where they are viewed.
How does the template creation process work?
We have four main “master templates” that our campaigns are created from.
Once we customize our master template to match the look and feel of your brand, we will email you a sample of each template for your final approval.
Once you approve the templates we will continue the design process by adding in all of the essential elements of an email, including dynamic elements and copy.
We make sure finished emails are engaging and personalized for each individual customer.
We already do cart abandonment. Do we still need DIDO Agency?
100% you do! Cart abandonment is great and addresses the people who leave before completing their order. But what about the other 95% of traffic that bounced off your site from a product page, a category page, or even a site search?
Sure, their purchase intent isn’t as great as cart abandoners, but research has proven that retargeting shoppers via email who exited on other pages can still deliver a great revenue uplift alongside cart abandonment campaigns.
